For further information check the entry under Cruise System Changelog.
we are happy to announce that the user xspeedasx has joined/taken over the development of the RC insim.
I assume it will take some time to get acquainted with the code, but we hope this means we will be receiving updates in a near future 😉
Congratulations and welcome on board! 🙂
We are happy to announce the schedules for our traditional egg hunts during the Easter period, where you will be able to get different kind of gifts!
The huntings will be carried out by System (kova.) and they will occur on the following dates (Central European Times):
– Saturday 15th April at (approximately) 22:00 until 23:00.
– Sunday 16th April at some point in the morning… big hunting event.
– Monday 17th April at (approximately) 22:00 until 23:00.
For further information about this please check the following forum thread: 2017 Easter Egg Hunt.
Don’t forget to polish your glasses and we hope to see you there!
We congratulate System (Kova.) on his new position as administrator! We are sure he will continue to give his best for the good of Reality Cruise with his new rank!
Also, Robert agreed to be set back as Administrator instead of Honorary Member. It won’t affect him much because he’s been doing proper Administrator job while he had the other rank, even if he was not supposed to!
As you know, the latest LFS release brought us an update of Blackwood, which includes a new industrial area.
Blackwood, as well as the rest of the tracks, comes originally from a left hand driving country. This means, all the signs on this new part of the track have been placed for left side driving.
This exact same thing happened back then with the updated Westhill. Even though everything was designed for left hand driving (road signs (horizontal and vertical), roundabouts…) we overruled it by placing our own marks on the road. You can’t say it’s the most beautiful way to implement the layout, but it was functional.
Now we receive this Blackwood update, which would mean doing the same thing we did on Westhill. However, as agreed by the majority of our staff members, we decided not to repeat this layout-workaround again, and in fact change all the tracks to left side driving. Because of this we have modified our layouts to make them LHT-friendly.
This means we will implement some changes in our rules as well as in our layouts. Here is a brief list:
– All tracks will be LEFT SIDE DRIVING, which also means TURN LEFT OUT OF PITS. All the traffic lights and road signs have been adjusted accordingly for all the tracks.
– Blackwood: we moved some of the insim locations to the industrial area. We encourage the usage of our !gps to help you find out those new locations. Additionally, we added a 1/4 mile drag strip in the industrial area.
– South City: we made drive-able few bits of the highways where you cannot drive by default. We also moved four job locations to those new zones as they were previously sitting in places not very traffic-friendly.
– Kyoto: oval is still one way only, but the driving direction will be changed. Turn left now when entering the oval, driving on the left side of it and giving way on the right side for letting faster cars pass you.
– Aston, Fern Bay, Rockingham and Westhill: no special remarks.
We understand that this might cause some confusion at first. Even most of us who decided to switch to left side driving live on countries where we drive on the right side of the road, but we truly hope we all can make the effort to get used to this new system.
You will be reminded of this update when you leave the pits by a couple of lines in the chat (/msg) and a race control message (/rcm).
This new update will be implemented on 20th February 2017 at noon, coinciding with the track rotation.
From Reality Cruise we would like to wish you a lovely time with your family and friends. Those of you who are enjoying holidays please do it responsible!
We would also like to thank you for supporting RC by being part of our great community 🙂
We hope to keep growing next year, and we hope to do it with you!

Hello cruisers out there,
During the next two days (today and tomorrow) we have planned to change the format of the RC servers. Currently we have a server available for each track. This array of servers will be reduced in size to 4 servers:
[RC] Reality Cruise
This server will be running a voted track. You will be able to vote once a week to choose the track for the following week for this server. On Mondays at 12:00 noon (Central European Time) the server will change to the voted track automatically. Everybody will be safe spectated so the bonuses will be saved.
[RC] Reality Cruise 2
This server will be rotating through all the tracks in sequence. If the voted track is the same as the next track in the sequence then this track will be skipped in order to not have two servers with the same track. The rotation will happen at the same time, in the same way as server #1.
[RC] Reality Cruise 3
This server will be running the S3 track – Rockingham. It will not rotate to any other track. Once LFS S3 becomes mainstream it will be possible to use Rockingham in servers #1 and #2 but for now the S3 track will have its own dedicated server in order to allow those who do not have LFS S3 to play.
Event business as usual.
We will be turning off 3 empty servers in order to set these new servers up. The plan currently is to not close the currently populated servers in order to not kill anyone’s bonus. We will most likely password these populated servers until everyone transitions to the new servers naturally.
Keep in mind this is a new transformation for RC and it will be a test. It may work or it may not work but we feel like this is the best time to do the transformation.
Voting tracks will be possible from any of the 4 servers using the !votetrack command. You will be reminded in the chat during the week 🙂
Hello cruisers out there,
The new Rockingham S3 version of LFS 0.6K has been released. All [RC] servers are now running on the latest version.
Please update your game, to continue cruising on [RC].
To use the new Rockingham track, you also need to upgrade your licence to S3, while you can still continue to cruise on our other tracks with S2.
To celebrate this, we will have a put together a whole lot of events this weekend, with lot’s of prizes to win.
